I want to point out to you a veteran’s story in the Library of Congress’s Veteran’s History Project.

Earl Harvey Morris served aboard the U.S.S. Walke during WWII. The Library of Congress has digitized his diary and made it available on-line. It contains valuable information about the Walke and other destroyers during the Okinawa campaign of May 1945.
