Here is some information about Cortron Three. In 1965, when I reported aboard Bridget, these four ships ( Evans, Bridget, Bauer & Hooper) were just coming out of shipyard overhaul. As a minimum the Class for these four hulls became the Evans (DE1023) Class with the addition of the DASH Helicopter and some hull configuration changes.

I shall pass your site on to some of the other officers with whom I have remained in contact and they may add their names to the list.

May I introduce myself as Jamie (Shinkle) Winning. My father, Frank Jones Shinkle. I have a copy of his DD 214, which lists him as commissioned 02 Aug 56, LTGJ (0-3), Engineering Officer, USS BRIDGET (DE-1024). So I am inquiring if any of the crew remembers him or have photos, stories of him for my genealogy research. Any assistance shall be greatly appriciated.
