The E-mail:

My father (Cecil C. McCumber Sr.) was aboard at that time. Hatfield was one of 5 flush deck DD's to have 5'/51 mounts. DD232 through DD235 were the others.

I (Cecil C. McCumber Jr.) served aboard USS Berkeley (DDG 15) in the early '70's. I have sign on your website.

My son (Cecil C. McCumber III) is now an Ensign and USNA grad, class of '04.

Thank you for your work.
