The E-mail:

Mr. Roberts:

My name is Julia DeBerry Turner. My father was aboard the USS Naifeh during WWII. He died when I was 7--1965. I just wanted to be able to contact anyone who possibly knew my father in order to find out more about him. His name was Donald DeBerry. If you could help me to get in contact with someone, I would be eternally grateful. I also have a photo of Lieut. J.S. Alberts taken in the North Atlantic--he was the captain of the USS Naifeh while my dad served. If you should ever want a copy of this photo just let me know. I also have a piece of the flag that flew on the USS Naifeh during WWII--I think the guys must have all gotten one--I don't know.

My dad enlisted in March of 1944 and was honorably discharged in January of 1946. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Julia D. Turner
