A friend of mine here in New Harmony, Indiana, found a Zippo lighter with an engraving of a ship and its name, USS Kirk, FF-1087, and has been trying to find someone connected with the ship so the lighter can be returned. There will be no cost involved.

If anyone from the Kirk has any idea how it might have wound up in Posey County, Indiana, contact me.
