Fate:           Stricken June 30, 1968 - Sold

The Sailor on the right is my father, Jack McGuire who served on the USS Thomason, DE 203. I do not Know the other 2 Sailors or the Lady in the photo, hopefully some one might. I think the photo was taken in San Diego. The writing on the back of the photo has:

    "Oct 27/45
    First night back in the States, just back from the Pacific (hell hole)"

Here is a Picture of a Crewman. Seaman 1st Class, Joseph A Hughes 1943 -1945. Do you know the full extent as to all of the Awards that were awared to the Crew of the USS Thomason during the war. Joe is currenty in a Nursing home in Huntsville AL. Tut Van Veterans Nursing home.
