CDR William H. Peerenboom was CO of the Noa during this cruise. I don't know the date he assumed command but he was relieved of command on Sept. 28, 1973 by LCR Raymond A. Helbig. CDR Peerenboom was absolutely the best CO I served under in my 10 years in the Navy and I hope you can add him to the list of CO's.

The sailor in the foreground of the color picture is me taken pulling into Diego Suarez, Malagasy Republic in 1971.
