My father (Norman I. Lee, Jr. now deceased) was the CO of the Rooks in the mid '50's whcih is the reason I have a copy of this picture. Just thought you might like to add it to your files.

Builder: Seattle Tacoma, Seattle Laid Down: October 27, 1943 Launched: June 6, 1944 Commissioned: September 2, 1944 Decommissioned: June 11, 1946 Recommissioned: May 19, 1951 Decommissioned: July 26, 1962 Fate: To Chile 7/26/62, renamed Cochrane; broken up in 1983
