The E-mail:

Hello Mark,

I am Edward "AL" Nugent, TM-3, who served onboard USS Waldron (DD-699) from 1958-61. I served with Carl E. "Pete" Blankenship, BMC (ret), who served onboard McNair from 1959-'60's. He was a BM-2 during that time. I sadly report that Chief Blankenship passed away last Monday morning (02-13-06) at his home in Evington, VA.

If you are interested in obituary information, please advise and I'll forward it to you.

Edward A. "Al" Nugent
201 Ragan St.
Ruston, LA 71270

PS I am active in the USS WALDRON (DD-699) ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.
