From: Michelle Waldon

My grandfather Anthony Giaquinto served aboard the Black during WWII and survived the war, but unfortunately died before I was born. Being in the Navy myself now, I understand the bonds you make with people you work so closely with constantly. I can only imagine the bond would intensify with what they were going through at the time. I was hoping that someone who knew my grandfather could tell me a little about him during that time of his life.

Thanks in advance,

Michelle Waldon

Great web site. Hadn't thought about the BLACK for years until I found this site. I was the Supply Officer and Disbursing Officer.
