My grandfather Anthony Giaquinto served aboard the Black during WWII and survived the war, but unfortunately died before I was born. Being in the Navy myself now, I understand the bonds you make with people you work so closely with constantly. I can only imagine the bond would intensify with what they were going through at the time. I was hoping that someone who knew my grandfather could tell me a little about him during that time of his life.

Sir,

My name is Dave Felice my grandfather Victor Damus served on the USS Black DD-666 during Word War 2.

The ship was sunk and he was one of only a few survivors.he died while I was young, Anyone with any information about this ship I would like to hear from and would be gratefully appreciated.
