Launched:       October 20, 1939
Commissioned:  	March 2, 1940
Fate:           Torpedoed by Japanese Submarine 
                I-15 (09/15/42) and sank 10/19/43 
                while en route to Pearl Harbor for 
                repairs.

I'm a former crew member and plank owner of the O'Bbrien. My rating at that time was cox. you have destroyers listed ,but no sims class how come? my name is george corso. my e mail address is ussquincygeorge@aol.com.

I'm now 83 years old and still around. I wonder if there's anyone else out there. Like to hear from you. I have pictures but no scanner yet. I'm getting one soon.
