I am doing research on an ex-crew member of the USS J. Fred Talbott DD 156 (later AG 81) and came across your site.

Here is the name and inclusive dates for this crew member: Gaery Pomroy, now deceased, retired from the Navy as a BTC in 1950 and reverted to CWO2, a WW II highest rank held, on completion of 30 years service. Gaery Pomroy was a F1C when serving on the Talbott from 4/20/35 to 8/22/35.
